I remember watching that dance at your reception, and getting confused just watching it. I can’t imagine actually DOING it. They seem to do it well though.
As I was reading this, I was thinking that it sounds like Microsoft, and then you said it yourself. Funny. Oh, and nice “Good Morning Vietnam” reference.
It could just be that at your polling place, at that particular time, it wasn’t busy…but I don’t watch TV, so I didn’t see any news from Ohio. Didn’t Anna register there yet?
Wow, you’re launching a business! The card looks nice, but I think it would help to have your street address on it. Without the street address, people who are thinking of hiring you might worry that you might change you phone number and they wouldn’t be able to track you down in case of a business dispute. Your brother, Richard, who has lots of businesses experience might give you advice about making your street address available to potential customers.
I started going to an Opthalmologist who is a retinal specialist 5 years ago because I had new floaters and I was seeing flashes in my visual field. I was especially concerned about the flashes because they indicate the vitreous is tugging on the retina. As part of the aging process, the vitreous shrinks and pulls away from the retina. If it pulls some of the retina away from the back of the eye, that’s retinal detachment which can be very bad for vision. My grandmother had retinal detachment in her 70’s which impaired her vision so much she could only distinguish light and dark. I have been seeing the retina specialist once a year, and each time I have been relieved to hear I have not had any retinal detachment or anything else that needs surgery. There is some discomfort with the exam, especially when the doctor presses through the eye lid onto the muscle that moves the eyeball to allow him to visualize the periphery of the retina. The thing he presses with feels like a screw driver. Ouch!
I think you insurance will allow you to see a retina specialist once a year so any more diabetic retinopathy that develops can be detected and treated befor it affects your vision. I hope you will blog about the result of your eye exam. By the way, my floaters just went away.
I’m glad you are not needing eye surgery now. My yearly eye exam is coming up; I hope I’ll be as lucky. When are you “invited” to return for the next check of your retina?

There are religions and churches, gay and straight, that accept and perform religious ceremonies. The importace of the latter is up to the individuals who plan to wed.
